As part of our commitment for service to the nation and local communities, Lincoln Laboratory’s volunteer-based educational outreach encourages students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We strive to foster interest in STEM and help young people gain confidence to tackle technical challenges.

Beaver Works Summer Institute

The Beaver Works Summer Institute is a transformational STEM experience, using project-based, workshop-style programs for rising high school seniors. We also work with public schools and teachers conducting STEM courses for their students.
Students in the Autonomous RACECAR Grand Prix course program the software to control the camera, lidar, sensors, and embedded processing for the robot pictured.
