Brian M. Tyrrell

Brian M. Tyrrell is a senior technical staff member supporting multiple system architecture and human factors efforts in the Air, Missile and Maritime Defense Technology Division.  His research interests over the years have included the development of low-size, weight, and power (SWaP) systems; low-latency and high-bandwidth sensors; near-sensor computation; and extreme environment electronics.

Tyrrell is a senior member of the IEEE and has authored or coauthored numerous papers and conference presentations related to sensor technology, integrated circuit design and fabrication, and radiation effects. His work in these areas has resulted in twenty U.S. patents.

Tyrrell received a BSE degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an SM degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
